Scoopable cat litter (We currently use a 1/2 ton a month!!) "Exclusive" dry cat food (We currently use 145 lbs a week!!)- We use a special dry cat food that does not have any corn, wheat or red dyes. We purchase it in 18lb bags. If you would like to purchase a bag for us, you can call Gowers Feed store at 301 582 2818 with a credit card. Just tell them you would like to purchase cat food or a gift certificate for Friends of Felines. Or, print this page and mail with your check to "Gowers" at 15956 Spielman Road, Williamsport, MD 21795. It will be added to our account. Canned cat food of any brand- They do not like anything with chunks or slices. They only like the ground canned cat food. Really!!

Adoption Process We prefer to adopt cats in pairs, especially kittens. They have been raised around other cats, and live with other cats. They need playmates and companionship when their humans are not around. We do have some cats who can be adopted alone. You get loveable pets that have been spayed/neutered, received flea and tick treatment, worming, rabies vaccination and a five-in-one vaccination that includes distemper and FLV. There is an adoption fee. This fee is necessary due to the high cost of medical care, and the cost of cat food and litter, and is a very small portion of the cost of maintaining the cats. Potential cat owners must show some responsibility by paying a fee for their animal, otherwise, they may not care for them and tend to their needs as they should. We are quite thorough in checking the potential homes of our cats. We will want to see where they will live. We will also check on them at their home periodically. We won't be a nuisance, but please understand, we have taken great care of these pets, and only want to put them into a loving, permanent home. If anything should happen that would require the cat to find a new home, it will come back to Friends of Felines-Maryland, or we will check on the new home first, to avoid unnecessary transport.

We try to discourage people from placing " Free cat or kitten" ads in the newspaper, due to the potential abuse situations they may be put in to. Do the responsible thing and have them spayed and neutered to help reduce the population of unwanted cats, and it will save you the trouble of having to find homes for the kittens.. We now offer sponsorships to those who cannot have cats, but would love to! For $10.00 a month, you can sponsor any kitty on the website. The sponsorship provides food, shelter and medical care for your kitty!! Send us an email or letter, and we will get started!!
